COR™ Certified by IHSA
Canmar holds the Certificate of Recognition (COR™), accredited by Ontario's Infrastructure Health and Safety Association (IHSA).
COR™ certification verifies that our comprehensive health and safety management systems consistently meet rigorous national standards. Achieving and maintaining this certification involves regular audits and continuous improvement, ensuring hazards are effectively identified, assessed, and controlled. For our clients, COR™ certification provides confidence that Canmar integrates industry-leading safety practices into every project execution stage.

Construction Safety Nova Scotia Certified
Canmar is also certified through Construction Safety Nova Scotia, demonstrating our adherence to comprehensive health and safety standards tailored specifically for Nova Scotia's construction industry.
This certification confirms our dedication to preventing workplace incidents and enhancing productivity through structured safety management practices. For our clients, this certification guarantees that each project we undertake meets stringent provincial safety standards, safeguarding both personnel and communities.


Training is vital to the success of any health and safety program. At CanMar Contracting Ltd., we provide our employees with many opportunities to learn about health and safety in the workplace. Much of our training is done in-house under the direction of our full-time Health and Safety Coordinator. All CanMar employees are certified and current in WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System). Our workers have also been trained in one or more of the following:
