Parking Garage Repair and Rehabilitation Services
Strengthening Parking Structures for the Long Haul
Parking garage repair, structural restoration, and waterproofing, built for safety, durability, and long-term performance.
Parking Garages Endure Constant Stress...
From de-icing salts and vehicle traffic.
Freeze-thaw cycles.
To water infiltration.
Over time, this leads to concrete deterioration, rusted rebar, leaks, and surface damage. If left unaddressed, these issues can compromise both safety and structural performance.

How We Extend the Life of Your Parking Structure
We deliver targeted parking garage repair and restoration services that address deterioration at the source. From slab replacement and waterproofing to structural reinforcement and expansion joint repair, we restore function, improve durability, and help extend the useful life of the structure.

What It Takes to Restore a Garage The Right Way
Every repair, replacement, and protection system that keeps your garage standing strong.

Shotcrete is a concrete repair method that involves spraying a mixture of cement, aggregates, and water onto a surface under high pressure. It is used in both new construction and the rehabilitation of existing concrete elements, especially where formwork access is limited or surfaces are irregular.

Ramp heating systems generate heat that melts snow and ice on the surface of ramps and driveways. When activated, the system prevents the buildup of slippery conditions, improving safety for both pedestrians and vehicles during the winter season.
Ramp Heating Systems

Hot-applied membrane waterproofing systems provide a seamless and durable barrier against water penetration. These liquid membranes are applied directly to concrete surfaces in parking decks and garages, forming a long-lasting protective layer that helps keep water out and prevent deterioration from within.
Deck Waterproofing Systems

Expansion joints are often the first points of failure in a parking structure. These joints accommodate slab movement from thermal change, settlement, or seismic activity. When they begin to break down, moisture gains a direct path into the concrete. We restore joint function to maintain flexibility while keeping water out. Expansion joint repair is a critical part of long-term parking garage maintenance.
Expansion Joint Installation

We provide concrete repair and replacement at all scales, from isolated patches to full slab reconstruction. This includes total topside removal with hydrodemolition when necessary, and full-depth concrete slab replacements where structural integrity demands it.
Structural Slab Replacement

To protect parking garage slabs from future damage, we apply high-performance traffic topping systems. These systems guard against moisture and chloride intrusion—two of the main drivers of concrete deterioration in parking garages. Toppings help extend the life of the structure while improving surface durability.
Traffic Topping Application

Standard concrete breaking methods can damage reinforcing steel and cause microfractures in sound concrete. Hydrodemolition uses high-pressure water jets to selectively remove deteriorated concrete while preserving adjacent material. Robotic systems make the process even more precise and efficient, making it ideal for structural concrete repair in parking structures.

Where the Work Comes Together

Mohawk Road, Hamilton, ON
Canmar has been engaged in the multi-phase restoration of parking garages at this large residential complex, in collaboration with Wynspec Engineering. The scope includes:
-
Slab repairs
-
Waterproofing
-
Traffic topping
-
Drainage upgrades
-
Coordination of mechanical and electrical components.
Work across multiple structures has been carefully staged to minimize disruption while reinforcing safety, durability, and function. This project reflects Canmar’s depth of experience in managing complex, occupied-site restorations over extended timelines.
